Working with Children
and Young People

I offer counselling to those over the age of 10, having carried out specific training to work with children and young people. With younger clients, I work creatively using engaging, age-appropriate strategies that empower them to express themselves and promote healthy coping mechanisms.

I work with any issues you or your child may be struggling with, such as low self-esteem, bullying, school/exam pressure, anxiety, challenging behaviour, struggles with neurodiversity and grief.

It can be hard talking to an adult about these things, but I aim to create a safe relationship built on respect and understanding. I tailor my approach to align with the interests of my younger clients—such as music, art, sports, or gaming—integrating counseling theories into these themes. This helps me to build genuine connections with my clients in a way that resonates while still ensuring the effectiveness of the therapy.

I always have my 'bag of tricks' with me, including games, crafts and fidget toys for those who find sitting and chatting too overwhelming.

"Thank you so much for everything you have done for me over the past 6 months. I have been able to open up about things I have struggled with for a long time, and I feel so much better in myself now than I did. You have made me feel so comfortable and helped me so much! I am really going to miss our sessions."
